Should I eat cake? Let them eat brioche!

Let them eat cake is one of the more famous historical quotes, allegedly spoken by Queen Marie-Antoinette of France in response to criticism that her subjects had no bread. However, the translation has become distorted over time - the original phrase 'Qu'ils mangent de la brioche' translates as 'let them eat brioche'.
